How to Unlock MF190A Huawei Modem Using DC-Unlocker

The Huawei MF1990A is the latest 3.7G USB modem which has a speed of up to 7.2mbps (Megabits Per Second). Recently a friend of mine brought this modem for me to unlock, looking at the letter ‘A’ attached to the model, I thought it will be difficult for me to unblock, but going through the normal way, I was able to unlock the modem (Huawei MF1990A) without any stress, here are the steps I followed to unlock it.

Steps

1. Download DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0460 here http://adf.ly/PXS5B, then disconnect your internet connection

2. Plug in the Huawei MF1990A modem into the USB port of your PC

3. Then insert an unsupported/foreign SIM into the modem (unspotted SIM means any SIM that is not meant for the modem you want to unlock i.e. if you want to unlock MTN modem, you can use Etisalat, Airtel or Glo SIM as your foreign SIM)

4. Unzip and Launch the Dc unlocker you downloaded in step 1 above

5. Under ”Select manufacturer:” choose “ZTE datacards” and “under select model:” leave it at “Auto detect (recommended)”

6. Now click on the Magnifying glass to detect card

7. Click on “Unlocking” Tab, when it opens click on “Unlock”

8. Within few seconds your modem will be unlocked

What to do next

Is time to create a new profile for the service provider you want to use, but in case you don’t know the settings for your service provider, just call your customer care and they will send the settings to you.
Use the table below to set the profile of the service provider you want to use in the modem you just cracked, this table consists of setting for Glo, MTN, Airtel and Etisalat Nigeria

How to Configure

Folow the picture below, this is an illustration of someone using an Airtel modem, but uses Glo SIM to connect to the internet,
Therefore

APN = gloflat
Dialer/phone number = *99#
Username = flat
Password = flat

Note that this model of Modem does not require you to input APN TYPE, so skip it.
