How to Solve Yahoo Mail Not Opening Problems Using Yahoo Messenger and Mozilla Firefox

Sometime last year, we learnt that hackers were actually making things difficult for Yahoo thereby causing unnecessary difficulty when trying to login into yahoo mail, for those who could not have access to their mailbox, I have two options you can try.

Option 1: From Yahoo Messenger

From what I learnt, some account has been locked and I don’t have idea when it will be unlocked by yahoo, but if you don’t receive “your account have been locked” message, then there is hope you could access your Yahoo box from Yahoo Messenger, you can download the latest version of Yahoo Messenger, because that’s what am using to access my yahoo box at the moment.  

Once you are able to sign into your Yahoo messenger, then your box is just a click away.

When you login successfully into Yahoo messenger, click on the Envelope as seen from the picture below and wait for about 30 seconds for your browser to open your mailbox  

 

Option 2: Adjusting your browser Extensions in Mozilla Firefox

I simply chose to talk about Mozilla Firefox because of its wide use. For those using Firefox 4.0 and newer on their PC running on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, just follow the step below

From the Menu option in Mozilla Firefox

1. Select Tools => Add-ons or Extensions, depending on your version. 
2. The "Add-ons Manager" window opens

3. Select Extensions tab and first disable or uninstall any extensions found.

4. Close and restart your browser.

Try and login now by going to Yahoo login page

NOTE: in-case you receive “your account has been locked” message whenever you try to login.

You can click on Forget Password=> My account may have been compromised. to begin the process of unlocking your account.

 

Don’t be scared of uninstalling your Firefox Extensions because you can reinstall them by visiting Firefox add-ons / Extension page
