Globacom Nigeria just launched a new service known as “Glo Family and Friends Finder” this service allows you to find the location of anyone using a Glo line, it also alert others when help is needed.
One may ask if the privacy of a Glo user is protected by this service, the answer to this question is yes because, your consent is required before one can locate another person’s location, therefore, if a person doesn't provide consent, he or she cannot be located by another/others.
Using this service can give one peace of mind about the safety of his family members, friends, even companies can also use it to locate staffs/employees in real time to know about their where about. But you should know that this service is not free of charge.
This service works on every phone, because it uses simple text commands.
These commands are sent to 5511, which is unique to only Glo users, this makes it clear that only someone using a Glo line can be located.
Text “Find Phone Number” to 5511 to know the where about of a friend or family member. This costs N50 per request/text
Glo will send a text to the person you wish to know his or her location for approval, the individual has to consent (approve) by replying with YES or No.
If the individual replies with a “YES”, Glo will text you the location of the person.
But if the individual replies with a “NO” Glo will not text you the location of that person.

How Glo Family and Friends Finder Works & Cost
If for example you wish to know the location of someone on Glo network, do this:Text “Find Phone Number” to 5511 to know the where about of a friend or family member. This costs N50 per request/text
